Reigning British Superbike Champion Tommy Hill will take his Swan Yamaha team on to the world stage in 2012 after agreeing to race in selected World Superbike rounds in 2012 as a wildcard and be part of the factory endurance team for the Suzuka Eight-Hours.
The opportunity arose to compete as a wild card following a level of support from WSBK organisers and Yamaha, both of which have still be finalized, giving rise to speculation of a switch to the world stage in 2013. Hill last raced in WSBK for the Althea Honda team in 2009 but split with them as the language barrier proved too much of a problem.
?World Superbikes is something I have always wanted to do on competitive machinery, good bike and good team. I think it?s important for me to go there and try to almost showcase myself, the whole package, with the full support and infrastructure behind me,? said Hill.

In pratica correr? alcune gare di quest'anno come wildcard...non ? molto ma ? bello lo stesso vedere ancora una Yamaha in griglia.
