2015 Moto3 World Champion Danny Kent will return to the Bennetts British Superbike Championship from the sixth round of the season at Snetterton as the Italian manufacturer will once again feature on the grid, run by MV Agusta Paramatta.
The team, run in conjunction with Jap4performance and MV Agusta Paramatta Australia, joins the championship from the mid-point of the season. The new team will begin their programme with some initial testing as they prepare to campaign former British Champion Leon Camier?s 2016 MV Agusta in BSB specification, before a season-long effort in 2020 with the support of Reparto Corse.
Kent said: ?I want to thank everybody in the team for the opportunity. I didn't think anything would come around this year after an opportunity I thought I would have didn't happen. Now it's time to get strong, get some testing done and look forward to Snetterton where I've not been since 2006 I can?t wait to get out on the MV Agusta F4 RC.?
Team Manager Dave Tyson commented: ?We have been working hard to get MV Agusta back on the grid in the Superbike class and it has now all come together. We know the bike is competitive and has had some great results in the World Championship up against the other factories.
?We are now working to turn the bike into BSB spec and get some testing done so we are ready for Snetterton. We just want to thank everyone who has helped in getting this project together including Reparto Corse, Dave Wong, Sam Nehme, James Pearce and Gavin Greenall. We will also be announcing our title sponsor in due course.?
