I don't know if i am writing the topictitle correctly, but i gave it a shot....
So, as i told in my ''meet MrSuzuki''-topic i've been to Italy for a week in August because we have some friends over there, which are the owner of the Italian FJR1300 Club. Because my dad has a Yamaha FJR1300, he's a member of the Dutch FJR1300 Club and i am a partner-member, so that's how we came in contact with the guys of the Italian FJR Club.
Last year, in 2003, they came over to The Netherlands, to meet me and my father, because we sort of invited them here because they were doing a trip in Europe, so we said, when you are in The Netherlands, we can show you a few spots.....
So they liked it that much, they invited us this year at their place Showing their favourite spots in the mountains....
And because a picture tells more than a 1000 words, here are some pics for you....
Day 1: Just a stop just before our ''hotel'' in Germany, in the south, 150km before Switzerland-border.
Day 2, a nice breakfast which the lady where we were sleeping made
Just a stop, 50km before Basel
The real action begon in Andermatt, where we were sleeping the second day, Gotthard-pass rules!
Our view from the hotel in Andermatt
Day 3, arrived in Italy, our Italian friends Diego picked us up just after the border in Como.
Picture which shows we were happy to see each other after a year
Como Lake:
Day 4: Allrighty...... Stelvio-pass for today
Allright..... another few nice pics, the bikes:
My dad proudly
