ho indagato e in effetti ci ho preso

There was a noticeable difference, to be sure; the bike changed direction fractionally quicker and with less effort with the extra weights removed.

in parole povere hanno testato la differenza fra i vecchi pneumatici e i nuovi (che pesano meno)

Facevano prima a cambiare pneumatici presumo che siano cambite anche le carcasse quindi non ne capisco il senso.
