Ok trovato, ma che fatica ragazzi

riporto in inglese la spiegazione:
The inside of a Moto Corse Ti muffler. As it comes there are two perforated tubes which connect the inlet "Y" and the tips. That perfed tube is .200" larger in ID than the OD of the tubes it connects. One of them also has a 30 degree bend in it. Angle, not radius. I believe it to be a poor setup for facilitating the flow of exhaust gases. In other words turbulence and restriction.
What you see are two solid tubes which are angled at the joints and with an ID the same as the stock connecting tubes and "Y". The total X sectional area of the two far exceeds that of the single muffler inlet and the joints are smooth and snug. They had to be made in two pieces, put in place and then the collar slid over that joint to tie them together.
Now I will repack the inside with insulation and weld the cutout back into place. With any luck it will not be at all noticeable.
As to whether or not there will be an increase in power I don't know. I would suspect some gain at higher rpms and perhaps a bit in the mid. That wasn't the point in doing this. I did it because I saw what I considered to be an area that needed to be improved and made the way I think it should be.
Yes they will be louder but I don't think that bad. And who knows, maybe I F'd them up. Not the end of the world and you don't find out unless you try. Right?"
