Tratto da Apriliaforum
Whew... what an adventure. The JC Racing team hit Daytona International Speedway this week for the Moto ST 8 hour race this Saturday, October 21.
After R & R Racing set up the bike, we discovered that they were over the maximum horespower limit for this event ! We were at 119.7 rear-wheel hp and increasing with each dyno run as the engine was getting broken in. The limit for MotoST is 118.0 rear wheel horsepower.
So after restricting the bike, the team went out for practice. Dave Estok set the second fastest time of the night with 1:58 point something (check www.motost.com, I dont remember) After accomplishing this feat, we discovered that we had over-restricted the intake and were only making 109. So we are confident that once we choose the proper amount of intake restriction that JC Racing on the Aprilia Tuono will be setting the fast times of the Moto ST 8 hour event !
Now, for real excitement. JTK Communications of Delray Beach Florida is uploading videos of some of our activities in the pits. To take a look at these adventures, go to http://www.JTKcommunications.com That page has instructions that will lead you to my consumer website. Here we are posting many pit videos as a 'video blog'. See and listen to comments by Mike Luke, Dave Estok and Brett Ray on this fantastic motorcycle. Keep watching for more surprises ! We have already been treated to an interview with Stephane Mertens !
If we had slightly better internet access at the infield of Daytona Speedway, we could do live broadcasting of the activities. Please be assured that we are trying very hard to get decent internet access on pit road.
